Yeesh, you take a midterm, get a day off, and everyone gets all quiet!
Let's talk Dickens. How's it going for everyone? Anyone have the uncontrollable urge to punch any characters yet?
I'm actually surprised by how much I'm not hating this book. I am, ehem, not a fan of Dickens, but this is the least painful book I've read by him yet! One or two small characters have been downright likable!
(Sorry if anyone here love Dickens :P)

I read "David Copperfield" years ago and loved it. But I started feeling the urge to dropkick Bounderby and co. ever since, oh, page 5 or so...
ReplyDeleteOh heavens, yes. But, having finished the novel, I can say that it ends less sappily and with more proper come-uppances than his other novels I've read. In fact, I dare say I enjoyed it at times. And then I got to the last few pages, and the way he finished it off just sort of ruined it for me. I truly believe he hated women, sometimes.
